Convincing!

Blimey, that thing looks even bigger than in the anime... Looks a lot like the 88 from a tiger tank!

Hahahhah thank you, I had to make it a bit big since I'm a lot taller than Seras is supposed to be ^^;

Thank you so much!! I made this one out of plumbers piping (found at Lowe's), garden tools, cardboard and foam. I made it so it came apart in the middle, so I could get it in my car. :) Thank you so much, good luck on yours! :)

omg is there any way you could private message me on how you made the Hannoken? :) I'm looking to make one but I'm stuck! T_T xxx

It's completely made out of things I found at Lowe's, mostly! The largest parts are plumbers piping, along with random plumbing parts for the rest, and pieces carved out of cardboard and foam! :)

thanks for replying :] Yeah, I'm just more confused on how to do the chunkier bits, you know the round bits that go around the pipes! T_T Hope I'm making sense xD

It makes sense! It's really all just parts I got at Lowe's, in the plumbing section they have pieces made to fit around pipes like that perfectly! ;)

Do you make most of your stuff out of foam? O.o and what kind? D: xx

I made a lot of the props out of foam, the kind varies on what I'm making! There's a few kinds of insulation or house foams, foamies, thicker sheets of foam, and the spray/carveable kind! :)

 No, it's ok! It's made almost entirely from parts I found at local hardware stores, from PVC piping to plumbing pieces! It cost maybe close to $100 for everything, no tutorial, just Macguyvering stuff together! I sold it a few months ago. :)

I'm sure i could have liked Hellsing if my old friend didn't obssess over it for months on end.

Damned Vampires are too cliche.

It's really funny you say that...the fandom actually kind of ruined it for me, too. I recently sold Harkonnen and retired my costume, because the fans are so hardcore about it, and I just can't look at this stuff as serious business!

Yeah, i enjoy the creativity more than anything. Now i gotta come up with some kind of male Haruko, and come up with some kind of costume. I'll never buy one. Its overpriced, made of weak material, and leaves no room for artistic liberties.

Unfortunately, no...I went a couple of years ago, but it's so far and flying with props is tough. The gun does come apart in the middle for shipping/putting in car trunks, and it weighs less than 10 pounds, so if you were seriously interested i'd ship it to you. :)

LESS than 10 pounds?!? ok. well i was more interested in meeting the mastermind and talking about how you made it. =ω= How much is it altogether? I'm already paying top dollar to make/get a Seras costume. you can tell I pay top dollar and settle for nothing less than perfection as illustrated by my Major cosplays. I am, sadly, unable to make very good props. So I have someone obviously better than me make them >3<

That really is a work of art, rather than sell it you should totally frame it on your wall.

If you must sell, I hope a younger person buys it. That'll be a fun day, I imagine I'll be reading about it in the papers for a few weeks.

"Woman sells giant home made rocket launcher to 12 year old in vampire costume"

It will be a good day to be alive. If you get your picture in the paper I hope they choose one of yours dressed as FLCL with the guitar for extra WTF factor.

XD
