These costumes were inspired by the art of

. This person is such a talented artist, and as soon as i saw their designs, I knew i wanted to make one. Mine is based on this particular piece [link] and my friend

did this one [link] .

There were a few things we wanted to fix and adjust on these, but overall we're very happy with them. I need to fix those things on my shoulders so they stand up! At least this pic shows the lights on it, though!

Again very beautiful! A question about the detailed vines in both outfits, were they painted with fabric paint, or heat'n bonded on, or was it some other technique?

It's mostly hand painted, a few parts were "embroidered" using my little sewing machine

I've considered trying out fabric paint, and I have never tried embroidery xD. My King and Queen of Hearts outfits used heat'n bond, so it's interesting for me to see how other people do details like that. It's very impressive

They are bright colors, but it seems like they get really saturated in photos!
