Haruko Haruhara by AmazonMandy Haruko Haruhara by AmazonMandy
My Haruko cosplay from FLCL!

After talking to a good friend, she recommended i upload some of my favorite cosplay photos on here. I will only be choosing my top favorites, if you want to see more photos or more costumes, go to my webpage at [link] .

This is just a fun side hobby for me, but i'm glad i've made so many friends doing it! I'll be trying to upload a few pictures a day to catch up with my webpage! This photo was taken by Ziggy Becket!

fantastic cosplay, but im gonna be finicky and point out that she has a bass guitar, and although you got the tuning pegs right, you put six strings on, while a bass only has four. small and easy mistake to make, i assume you've either noticed or someone has pointed it out but just in case

Yeah, just start with a kit and then customize it with clays, then paint! :)

I'm going to attempt a Haruko Cosplay at Otakon 2012. Any tips for finding stuff for it and pulling it off? I'm still a novice ^^'

Well, I made mine when I was also pretty novicey! I got a lot of it from Ebay (like the goggles, the helmet I painted, gloves), and the leather for the jacket from a leather seller who was selling scraps. I know it wasn't supposed to be metallic, but I loved it so much anyway LOL The most important thing about Haruko is, I think, the attitude in pictures! Have lots of fun, grin or look INCREDIBLY bored, and be ornery!!! :D

Haha, yes the attitude is by far the most important part of this cosplay :3
I actually think the metallic jacket adds a nice touch to the costume, it makes the boots tie into the outfit really well. Thanks so much for the tips

all you need is a pull start motor in that thing!!! im looking for a blue rick copy that i can afford so i can put on the little pull start sorta thing and screw it to the back and maybe configure it to work with the pickups or maybe a killswitch with a rotating sylender that has a little straight end piece of wood and a nail that when the pull-start is pulled like in FLCL the thing will pull a switch and turn on or off the pickups, just imagine that on stage thatd be sick

Hahah that'd be so cute! My pullstart definitely didn't WORK, it was for looks only! ;)

wow perfect almost, the only thing is that the rickenbacker 4001 looks too fake, i understand the price tag on those and the complete innability to find a good remake of them for under $600 anyway cuz iv wanted one for a long time... but good job ^_^

Well, in the books it's a Rick 4001c64, but in the movie they went the newer "cheaper" route and had a Rick 4003. (Both without gun capabilities or pull cords)

Thank you very much! I'm afraid I don't take on commissions, I barely have time to make anything for me anymore :(

I don't know how to submit things to a group...I've never done that before! I'm sorry, I'm not very good at Deviant Art!
